This course takes place online via Zoom. The recordings of the Zoom sessions will be available online for up to 4 weeks after the workshop. The assignments can be done during the week between the sessions. This allows the images to develop in peace. There is enough time to build up the layers. Starting from a photographic template, I will show you how you can create an expressive image with vivid brushwork. The subject of the picture is abstracted, but remains recognizable. This approach is about experimenting more and painting more loosely so that the painterly trace takes on a life of its own. The clear light/dark values guarantee the luminosity and spatiality of the motif. It is a combination of realism and painterly freedom. This course will show you how to free yourself from the photographic template and create landscapes with a painterly quality.
